David Choi is South Korean in origin, born in Guyana (South America) and grew up in Manchester UK. David is married to Cerian, a local GP, and they have three boys.
In a previous life (before neurosurgery!) he enjoyed motorcycling, track-days at Brands Hatch, University of Cambridge fencing and Edinburgh University team squash.
But now when work allows, he spends time playing Piano and Guitar, Swimming and keeping fit (surgery is physically demanding!) and is involved in Sound and Music at a local church, St John’s Downshire Hill.
He plays club-level squash three times a week at Brondesbury Sports Club London (Middlesex league) so if you can’t find him, he’s probably on the squash court! Getting some tips from the previous world champion Nick Matthews.
He enjoys travelling, both for leisure and for conferences, and takes regular day-trips to the US and Europe to give lectures.
